Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition affecting the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, or eyelids or a person’s face. Rosacea is characterized by redness, prominent spider-like blood vessels, swelling, and/or skin eruptions similar to acne. It can become active anytime and produce redness in different facial areas or covering the entire face with a tendency to flush easily, affecting both men and women.

Look for increased number of spider-like blood vessels, a red, bulb like or rounded nose, acne-like skin eruptions, a burning or stinging sensation of the face, and/or irritated, bloodshot, or watery eyes.

 

Common Problems that Effect Rosacea Are:

  • Spicy foods, alcohol, and hot beverages
  • Wind
